Job Information:

 

 Manager, Project ( Job Number: 10486)

 Description

 Objectives:

He/She is accountable for investment project safety, quality, cost, and schedule ,up to ? 50 Million during whole project life cycle

Main tasks:

1. Lead and manage a group pepole (20-100) to establish project goal, project execution strategy, project organization, define R/R(Roles/Responsibilities) and Job Description in the project organization.

2. Ensure the project will be executed in accord with company requirements on safety, quality, cost and schedule

3. Represent the owner interests to coordinate with 3rd parties ,local government, vendors, or contractors, etc.

4. Set up and negotiate major contracts for project execution and purchases

 Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree mandatory - Master degree preferable

2. At least more than 10 years total work experiences, including 8 years in chemical or petrochemical investment project management

3. Proficient command of spoken and written English skills

 

 

Senior Engineer, Instrument and Process Control ( Job Number: 10003)

 Description

 Objectives:

He/She is responsible for the achievement for the E&I project tasks including conception (frontend loading) basic and detailed design, construction, procurement and start-up.

He/She is supervising execution, planning and cost estimation for major E&I projects.

Main Tasks:

1.    Responsible for functional, on time and within budget technical planning for the technical processing and procurement of equipment for middle/large size projects and project groups.

2.    Monitor and supervise contractors, including project-based management of employees and promotion of their further development for medium and small projects and project groups.

3.    Consulting function in area of expertise and with EPC-contractors. Assumption of tasks in external panel of experts.

4.    Tracking of project-specific targets for the discipline within the framework of the project design.

5.    Development of structures and/or concepts for the extent of discipline within the project. Testing and introduction of new technologies and market standards.

6.    Development of specifications within the ITB framework

7.    Request and inquire of planning services for instrumentation/process control

8.    Supervision of contractors on local as well as international assignment, in accordance to agreement.

9.    Responsible for costs and schedule.

10.  Coordination of quality assurance for goods and services.

11.  Compliance with agreed health, safety and environmental objectives.

12.  Active support of team building within ACT and early coordination of tasks and responsibilities within the respective project.

13.  Alignment of all team members within the project/in sub-projects towards the common project objectives.

14.  Active and intercultural cooperation with clients, EPC contractors as well as all project participants within the BASF Group.

15.  Leading a team of up to 10 persons within the project organization

16.  Support lessons learned activities.

17.  Supports basic enginnering with understandings of Chinese authority requirements and local knowledge

 Requirements:

Education:

Major in process control,industrial automation ,bachelor degree mandatory,master degree preferrable

Working Experience:

At least more than 7 years work experiences in specific professional field (in instrumentation/process control field) in Chemical and petrochemical industry

Technical& Professional Knowledge:

Fluent written English/Chinese and verbal communication skills mandatory

Planning and Scheduling skills mandatory

 

 

Senior /Manager, Mechanical ( Job Number: 08964)

 Description

 Objective

The manager mechanical is responsible for and has to perform all key mechanical activities within one or more BASF projects, provide good support for Discipline Competence (Specification, Best practice, Work flow etc), be able to act as mentor to Junior engineers.

Main Tasks:

1. In general responsible for medium to large size projects within BASF

2. Support the Project/Engineering Manager with regard to Mechanical Equipment engineering issues in all project phases (BEP, Detail Engineering and Construction).

3. Support and coordinate with other disciplines regarding Mechanical issues.

4. Coordinate, monitor & control all Mechanical Equipment engineering activities towards the Engineering Partner/LDI working at the individual project.

5. Represent the owner interests in the project towards the Engineering Partner/LDI, Vendors, construction companies. Carry out technical and contractual supervision and guidance.

6. Provide functional leadership and support to the Mechanical Equipment engineering team (advisory role).

7. Establish local know-how and market contacts in the relevant discipline and share with other /new project teams in the region or the BASF global technical community.

8. Establish and keep close contact to the related engineering discipline at BASF headquarters in Germany (good English skills required).

9. Representation in a regional and/or global panel of BASF.

10. Supervise Cost, Schedule and Quality for Mechanical Part in a Project

11. Generate new ideas for improvement/optimization measures (e.g. work processes, tools, methods) and implement them within the mechanical discipline

Requirements:

-Education:

1. Bachelor degree or College diploma with appropriate experience in Chemical or Mechanical engineering mandatory - Master degree will be an advantage

-Working Experience:

1. At least more than 9 years total work experiences in chemical and petrochemical

- Core skills:

1. Proficient command of spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) mandatory

2. Good skill of spoken & written technical English preferable
